Star Wars Games for Birthday Parties

This page has ideas for star wars games that can be played at your next party. Many of these games can be made by you at home, which will save you money. If none of the free games fit with your party, then take a look at some of the star wars game suggestions that may be purchased for the party, or as a gift for the birthday child.

1. Light Sabre Quest in the Dark Zone

Light sabre quest in the dark zone is basically a treasure hunt in the dark. Light sabres light the way through the dark to the packages of energy tablets that the Jedi's (and Sith) are seeking.

2. Star Wars Madlib Game

This is an hilarious game in which the party guests fill in a sheet of words which get transferred into a Star Wars story with hysterical results. The kids will be laughing so hard you'll find it difficult to keep reading the story.

There are two printouts for this game:

You can play the star wars madlib game any way you like, but here are instructions for the madlib game. There are 2 versions you can try. Make sure to print out extras for the kids to try at home.

3. Star Wars Character Guessing Game

This star wars guessing game is a fun game that is a great game for starting at the beginning of the party as guests are arriving. It's a very social game, so it's a great icebreaker if some of the kids don't know each other.

In order to play the game you need pictures of star wars characters (at least one per child), and some tape. To find star wars pictures just do an image search for star wars. If you want specific characters, do an image search on the character name. Here are some that I found:

To Play the Star Wars Character Guessing Game

  1. Print out enough star wars character pictures for the number of party kids
  2. Without the children seeing the picture, tape a picture to the back of each child.
  3. Each party guest will then try to guess which Star Wars character is taped to their back. However, they can only ask the other kids at the party questions that can be answered with a Yes or a No answer.
  4. If you plan to award prizes, then keep track of the order that the kids correctly guess their Star Wars character.
