This page has ideas for princess crafts that the party guests can make and keep. Crafts are a great way to start a party and the finished craft can even be used during the party as a game or costume accessory.

1. Princess Tiara

Every little princess needs a tiara. Here are some instructions for the kids to easily make and decorate a party accessory and keepsake.

Supplies Needed To Make A Tiara

Tiara Craft Preparation

Print out the stencil of the tiara onto card stock paper and cut out the tiara shapes. It's best to do this before the party, since it can be difficult for kids to do. Provide the jewels, glitter glue and tiara cutout to each party guest (or place where they'll be seated), instead of having them just grab from a central spot.

How to Make a Princess Tiara

  1. Put the jewels on first, especially if they're the peel and stick jewels.
  2. Add the glitter glue around the jewels, filling in the rest of the tiara. The kids may want to use a craft stick to spread the glitter glue. You don't want the glitter glue to be too thick on the tiara because that would take too long to dry.
  3. Allow some time to dry.
  4. Glue the tiara onto the headband. A parent might want to do this.

These princess tiaras are fun to make and are a great party favor, but they may not be ready to wear during the party. It is also best to do it at the start of your princess party so it has the most time to dry.

2. Princess Jewelry Box

All little princesses love their jewels. A great idea for a princess birthday party is to make a jewelry box that can double as a party favor box.

Supplies Needed To Make Princesses Jewelry Boxes

Preparation for Jewelry Box Craft

Pre-paint the boxes in whatever color the birthday girl likes. You don't want the kids painting and decorating since there would need to be drying time between the two. It's also messier when the kids paint. In each box, put some jewels and ribbon. Set up the craft stations so that each pair of party guests has glue and a pair of scissors.

Now it's just up to the girls to decorate the boxes as they wish. It's probably best to start with the ribbons (cut and glue them into place) and then stick on the jewels. If the girls want to write their name on the box, then they should probably do this before gluing or sticking the jewels on.

3. Princess Purse

Every little princess loves a purse. This purse makes a perfect princess party loot bag to take home after the party.

Supplies Needed for the Purse Craft

This craft is really all about decorating a loot bag, which you'll call a purse. The girls can choose to glue a princess picture on, or not. They can also add a variety of jewels, beads, or whatever decorative items you have. Add their name somewhere to the "purse" and it's done.
