Dinosaur Games for Birthday Parties

1. Pass the Dinosaur Egg
This dinosaur game is exactly like hot potato, but with a fragile dinosaur egg. All you need to get started is dinosaur egg (explained below) and a music player of some kind that can be paused easily.
How to Create the Dinosaur Egg
- Get a small gray or green balloon
- Put a small dinosaur in the balloon. You can do this by pushing the dinosaur against the large end of the balloon and flipping the balloon inside-out over the dinosaur, until it is on the inside.
- Blow up the balloon a little (not full-blown)
- Draw black lines over the balloon so it looks cracked
How to Play Pass the Dinosaur Egg!
It really is almost exactly like hot potato.
- Sit the birthday party guests down in a circle.
- Make sure the kids are sitting cross-legged because their laps will be the dinosaur egg nest.
- Hand the dinosaur egg to the birthday boy or girl.
- Start playing the music and have the birthday boy or girl put the egg in the lap of the person to their left.
- Play will continue by each person taking the egg from their lap and placing it in the lap to the person on their left
- Let it go around for a little while and then pause the music.
- Whoever was last touching the dinosaur egg is out. So if it's in a lap then that party guest is out. If a party guest is about to pass the egg, the the one holding the egg is out.
- Have the kids keep passing the dinosaur egg to the lap nest on the left and then pause the music again after awhile.
- Continue until there is a final winner. That winner can keep the egg with the dinosaur in it. They may choose to pop the balloon to get the dinosaur out
2. Dinosuar Madlib Game
This is an incredibly funny dinosaur game that is perfect to play with a group of kids. In this game the party guests fill in a sheet of words which get tranferred into a dinosaur story with hysterical results. The kids will all be laughing so hard it will be difficult to keep reading the story.

3. Dinosaur Egg Hunt
A dinosaur has created lots of small hidden dinosaur eggs in and/or around the house. In this dinosaur game, the kids will be searching for hidden dinosaur eggs and the little dinosaurs and treats inside the eggs. To play this game you will need:
- Little dinosaurs
- Small candies
- Egg shaped containers (plastic easter eggs) - 2 per child
- Clues
To play the game:
- Think of several hiding places inside and/or outside the house where you can hide the dinosaur eggs. Try to come up with enough hiding places so that there is one more hiding place than the number of kids at the party.
- Make cryptic clues to the each of the hiding places. The kids will need to figure out each clue to find their way to the next dinosaur egg.
- Roll up or fold the clues so that they can fit in the dinosaur eggs. You may want to number the eggs on the outside so that you know where to hide the dinosaur eggs and the kids will know if they're finding the eggs in the right order.
- Put a dinosaur and a treat in each dinosaur egg with the clue to the next hidden nest. Each child will end up with one of these eggs in the end, so you may want to put names on the eggs from the start so there's no arguing.
- Put a larger stash of eggs in the final large hidden nest(one more egg for each child).
- Keep the clue to the first dinosaur separate. Hide the dinosaur eggs around the house and include the clue to the next egg nest location in the each egg. The last dinosaur nest is a large nest containing 1 more egg per child.
